Hypnotherapy Sessions and Rates

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness achieved through the use of relaxation, concentration, expectation, and suggestion.  During hypnosis, one has heightened sensory perception.  All forms of daydreaming are levels of hypnosis.  Some examples of day to day hypnosis are Highway Hypnosis ~ Reading a Book ~ Watching Television ~ Working on the computer for an extended period of time ~ Performing any enjoyable task where time appears to pass quickly.

Can anyone be hypnotized?

Anyone with an open mind, moderate intelligence and is able to concentrate can be hypnotized.  The more willing a person is to be hypnotized, their concentration is expanded and the commitment to obtain their desired goal increases the power of the suggestions.

Does hypnosis cause a person to lose control?

No.   No one under hypnosis will do anything that is against their morals, values, or better judgment.

Is hypnosis a form of brain washing?

No, if it were, the ideals expressed by the Hypnotist would be commands rather than suggestions.  You are always in complete control.

Is hypnosis dangerous?

No.  There has never been a documented case of harm coming to anyone from the therapeutic use of hypnotism.  There has never been a documented case of someone unable to come out of a hypnotic state.

What does it feel like to be hypnotized?

Hypnosis is a very pleasant feeling of complete relaxation.  It is a state of consciousness located somewhere between awake and sleep.

Will I be able to come out of hypnotized state?

Yes.  Hypnosis is a natural state of mind.  We all come out of this state when we are ready.  All of my suggestions include wakening instructions.
